Artist Website Development

Without any initial payment, I will begin the creation your site with home page, about artist page, contact page, up to 20 pieces of art, and contact about art pages. If you are happy with the direction your site is going, you will make a down payment and we will continue the project with additional art and pages if necessary. If you are not happy with the progress we can discontinue the project and you own nothing.

I will send you a questionnaire to gather the information needed to begin your project, and have you send me quality images of several pieces of your art along with pertinent information about those pieces. From this content, I will begin building your site. Once ready for initial feedback, I will send a link to your project and you can ask for changes. We will continue these exchanges until you are happy with your site. NOTE: Initial unpaid development will allow two site reviews and change requests. After that, a down payment will be required to continue your project.

Site development starts at $595 and includes the first year of hosting. Hosting is $200/year after the first year. Basic pricing does not include photography of artwork, image editing, or copy writing. If any of these are needed, a quote will be provided.

Prefer to create your own website? With some basic starter info, I will freely create a website framework which you can then use to easily create your own site using the instructions provided. You own nothing unless you choose to go live with your site, at which time the price is $200/year. You will retain full admin access to edit your site as much and as often as you wish.

With well over 20 years website programming experience, 5 years spent as lead programmer for a company that specialized in portrait and wedding photographer's website templates, and some 8,000 hours invested in the development of the system I use for my own website, you are working with a true professional in the industry. The majority of my 40 year work history has been in one way or another related to art. Creating, and helping others create brings me my greatest joy.

In development processes, complications will regularly arise. As a solo developer, I am constantly "investing in solutions", meaning that I take the knowledge gained from solving one problem, and think of other ways I can use it. Often, the new use will come with it's own set of complications, and the cycle will repeat itself. This process has generated unique innovations found only in my website development system.
